Speaker 2:Wednesday Christmas Eve is Tuesday, francisco, I love the word.
Speaker 1:Francisco, francisco, francisco.
Speaker 2:I just saw that.
Speaker 1:I've watched Elf now twice. Oh my God, let's get right into it.
Speaker 2:it seems like forever, since we've done since we've done a podcast recording, but I guess it's been a week. You're not edit this intro out. I'm not gonna edit this this episode is.
Speaker 1:This episode is just. It's just for us. We're gonna talk about setting our goals for next year, or talking about our goals realistic or unrealistic, funny, some not funny, some serious, some we actually want to do. I'm sure there's people out there that really care about what we're doing next year, so they'll probably listen to the whole episode. And then there's randos that will be like those are really good goals. I want to think about my goals, but the purpose of this episode is for us to talk about our goals and encourage you, only by us talking about our selves and our goals, to make your own goals for next year. And I hesitate to use resolution because I hate new year's resolutions these are some of these goals that I'll talk about.
Speaker 1:I've been working on for a few months now to set up for 2025. So first things first. How are you doing?
Speaker 2:I am good, I'm a little sleepy today.
Speaker 1:A little sleepy, but I'm good, it gets dark at like four, I know.
Speaker 2:Okay, so winter solstice is this weekend, and is that when we start to gain time, then yeah, so winter solstice is the shortest day of the year.
Speaker 2:Okay, so I feel like that always kicks my butt, like whenever it starts to get dark super early, because I get tired early. I don't know it. Just I mean, everybody has to struggle with this, right. Like I get tired early, so then I end up in bed earlier, but then I'm up in the middle of the night. It's just like it throws my whole routine off. So I'm trying to just power through and stay up like if I'm, if I don't, like I'm fine if I'm out doing stuff.
Speaker 1:But yeah, but it's like when you're home, it's so easy and it's dark out.
Speaker 2:Your body thinks you're supposed to be going to sleep soon yeah, and it's like dark at like 4, 45.
Speaker 1:It's like ridiculous there's been a couple of times in the last week, particularly now that it's like christmas season. There's like a homely, cozy sort of feel, feel the Christmas tree's up, my decorations Mesa, my dog seems like she's in a better mood. She's getting more treats. I like you finally learned. I'm like you finally learned.
Speaker 1:Like I'll go out and do something out in my yard or something to do some work, and then I have to take a shower and I'm like you know what? Fuck it? It's 3.30. I'll put my sweatpants on and I'm like there's a part of me that feels really guilty about it. But I'm like what am I going to do? Put jeans on for an hour and a half and then put my sweatpants back on Because I'm not going anywhere. And I think that's the thing is. Like when you work from home this time of year, it like us that don't have kids or a significant other, like we're not. Like there's been day, there's been runs where I've gone three days without leaving my house yes, time of year because it gets dark and you're like what am I gonna do?
Speaker 2:especially once it gets cold, like I feel like once it hits like january, february and there's, it's like snowy and like like cold out, like it is easy to do that I mean, when I had r, I would have to at least take him out, but there were definitely times that I didn't like leave my car, did not leave the garage, or I didn't do anything but take him for a walk or to daycare, like that was the extent of me leaving. But no, it's been good. It's really, if I think back, it's been kind of nonstop for me, I feel like since September, when like travel started to ramp up. So it's kind of been just like go, go, go. And this is a somewhat quiet week but I'm getting ready to go on a trip, so it's not really quiet, but like I don't, I don't know. So I'm just it's not really quiet but I don't know, so I'm just powering through.
Speaker 1:We're going to Italiano.
Speaker 2:Italia.
Speaker 1:Italiano.
Speaker 2:No, that's Io sono Italiana. No, that's like I know it's Italiano yeah okay, italiano. It's so much more fun. Io sono Italiana. It's another syllable. I'm a father in Italia.
Speaker 1:I think Italian's all about singing the syllables. The more syllables the better isn't everything. Mario, my brother-in-law and I when we were in Italy, it was so hard not to run around and be like Luigi Mario, which I'm sure everybody does but maybe it's just us.
Speaker 2:You know, my dad's name was Luigi, did you know it?
Speaker 1:luigi. Yeah, oh man, I would love him yeah, he was also like this big you know, luigi was the one getting all the pussy.
Speaker 2:He was, oh my god, let's not talk about this. Shut up. Oh my god, he was a harder worker he was taller oh you mean the Mario brothers? Well, maybe your dad?
Speaker 1:I don't know, was your dad a plumber? No, jesus.
Speaker 2:Christ, this is going sideways real fast.
Speaker 1:It is. This is also the repercussion of staying at home too much.
Speaker 2:You start getting slap happy. But how are you doing? Because also, we're going to, let's not yeah.
Speaker 1:I mean, I can get right into goals because I think my I'm doing pretty good on my goals.
Speaker 2:Well, let's do that, because also just so people know we're going to do a Love Laugh Lounge right after this because I'm going to be out of town. So we're going to try to record two episodes tonight. So we're not going to give you all the details.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we're gonna do a love, lap phone and talk about do a recap on our 2024 dating and yeah, those are my only updates. Besides, I've been. You know, my social life revolves around us hanging out this podcast and my dating life my friends are just like not around, they don't call me anymore, so they're like, oh, he's busy.
Speaker 2:I don't know that they're busy.
Speaker 1:I think they're just like not around, they don't call me anymore. They're like oh, he's busy, I don't know that they're busy.
Speaker 2:I think they're just like.
Speaker 1:No, he thinks you're busy they think you're busy Doing what I don't know Hanging out with me.
Speaker 1:I was trying to explain this to my friend James the other day my friend James is really good about calling me and then we'll get into this and I love him for it, because him and I talk and I was trying to explain. I was explaining to him. I was like dude, like my life is so much different than yours, like, and he, he, james, has pretty good awareness. He's like yeah, no, I get it, man, like I was like you with your kids and your wife and stuff. His kids are like nine or eleven, maybe twelve, and like'm going to fuck it up six or seven maybe.
Speaker 2:Okay.
Speaker 1:Sienna is seven.
Speaker 2:And.
Speaker 1:I was like I actively, even though I'm a busy person, I actively have to fill my time. There's never enough to do to fill my time. I listen to podcasts, I read, I work God.
Speaker 2:the parents hate you for this. Right now they're struggling. It's a problem.
Speaker 1:This is what we talk about. A theory, therapy is that I have too much time. Yeah, and that's when you're younger. You have things to fill your time and you're because your friends are all still single yeah kids. But in your 40s it's like lonely ish. Lonely, not in a sad way, it's just lonely um. But don't get me wrong, I fucking love my, I love my, my life.
Speaker 2:So anyway yeah, no, I think that's a ton of goals. That's nice, do you just want to?
Speaker 1:go tit for tat, or what do you want to do um? No one, you go one, I go one organized than this joel you go talking goals.
Speaker 2:oh, oh my gosh. Well, okay, so I feel like. So this is actually something I do every year and I used to be really formal about it, like I have a binder put together. I'm a little bit of a weirdo when it comes to goals. Did you know this about me?
Speaker 1:Well, I've seen your manual calendar, your handwritten calendar, over there on the wall yeah.
Speaker 2:So this year I slacked and just put some goals up on that calendar that have been up there all year, but normally I put like a binder together and so like I and I will do it in 2025. So I use the month of january as like my planning month and I formalize all my goals by the end of the month. So I do like a month of like thinking about where what I achieved in 2024, what went well, like what worked, what didn't work and then I try to set some goals for the coming year.
Speaker 1:Do you have KPIs?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so I make smart goals, goals.
Speaker 1:I I'm such a weirdo I know, I think it's great I. Well, here's the deal it racks it like, hurts my brain to think about me doing it because I have zero organizational skills.
Speaker 2:Well, no, I can do it for you, so like I actually, it's but I wouldn't look at it.
Speaker 2:I would just go in a corner and collect it's well, okay, that's fine, but I so I do two month check-ins with myself. So what I do is I set annual goals and then I break it down. So I break it down into categories, so like I'll do like five different buckets say like you're already, but this okay. So let's back up a second. I worked for a company that was really good about establishing goals for everybody. They used a smart goal metric metrics and you had all kinds of goals every year and I was I mean, I was- very successful.
Speaker 2:No, like you created your own goals and then you'd go over them with your manager and you'd go back and forth and whatever. And then you'd finally establish like what your goals were for the year, after some back and forth, but you had very clear like this is what the goal is and here's how you meet the goal, here's how you exceed it. Here you know, whatever all the measurements, and I was always really successful at like achieving my work goals. And so, like you know, moving up in my career like has always been not that it's come easily, but I feel like that just worked really well. And then at some point I was like the light bulb went off and I'm like why am I not doing this for myself in my personal life? Because it's clearly getting me what I want in my career, so why wouldn't I do this for myself personally?
Speaker 2:So I started doing that and the more I've like over time. So it started really with not liking resolutions, cause I I agree with you I feel like it's such a fad. I don't know, I don't. I just don't like resolutions and I think when you use that term it's meant to be like short, like a month or two long. I don't know. That, at least, is what my mind thinks of. So I started just not doing resolutions and just started making goals.
Speaker 1:I'm having very funny thoughts in my head right now why what? I just keep thinking about an advertisement for your goal master class 999 for manuelo mesonios yeah, there you go, I will do it goal setting goal accomplishing master class well, it's not a bad I've actually it's wonderful
Speaker 2:it's actually, I think, I'm going to do it and part of someone else, share with you some of my goals for the upcoming year. So, like I'm just telling you the story behind this to hopefully like motivate other people to get on on board with it. But it works like so I actually. So you met my friend Kate. She came out a couple years ago and she liked what I was doing and so she actually came out the week of New Year's so that we could have a goal setting week and we sat down and like it was kind of fun. We we didn't make like vision boards, but like my kind of version of that with around goals and we just wrote out like all the things we wanted to do.
Speaker 2:I like to put them into five or six buckets. You can Google this stuff too, and it'll give you like. Or you can use chat GPT and it'll give you some ideas. So, for example, you can set financial goals, career goals, relationship goals and you can break that down however you want it. Whether it's like if you're in a relationship, you probably want one that is specific for your partner for that relationshipus friendship goals, I don't know. I usually have one that relates to my house, like project goals around the house, and then like fitness and wellness. Those are kind of the general buckets that I do, and sometimes that varies a little bit Just depending on what I'm doing. I also have that, like the nutrition coaching stuff, so usually I have a separate set of goals for that, which got totally derailed by all this organization is making my brain hurt.
Speaker 2:It's okay. So you don't have to be that organized. I just. That just works really well for me and it's how I get shit done, so if I write them down and then so then what I do is I kind of figure out, like where do I want to go this year, and then I break it down into two month goals.
Speaker 2:And there's a method behind all this and it's has to do with, like, establishing new habits. You want to break it down into two month increments, so like take your annual goals and then look at your and break them down into like, okay, if I want to I don't know, like if I want to save a hundred dollars by the end of the year, which obviously you would want, hopefully more than that but if you want to save a hundred dollars by the end of the year, you're going to break that up into two month increments. And maybe that's like okay, how am I going to spend less money each month or whatever, right? And so you then at the end of the two months, I look at what worked, what didn't work, and then I like pivot and then keep going.
Speaker 1:I think you should do a YouTube on this.
Speaker 2:I actually I should. I have a separate YouTube channel and it's, yeah, I should, I should. Um, I'll add that to my list of goals for next year, cool.
Speaker 1:So you want me to do a goal masterclass Organization, and setting.
Speaker 2:So I'm actually thinking about doing.
Speaker 1:I mean, I've offered to do it at work, so you're very business oriented around your goals.
Speaker 2:I am. I mean one of my coworkers. Yeah, one of my coworkers was asking for goals because our company hasn't been great about it. So I actually like wrote up a draft of them like five or six years ago and was like here I came up with my own goals and also you could use this template for everybody else and they use some of it. And it's been kind of like a long path of I don't know, it's just so. Anyways, coworker asked me to help her. So she's just kind of telling me what she wanted. And I was just typing. I was like okay, this is, like this is what your goal is. And then, like we set, like how would you achieve it? How would you exceed this goal? Like what does that look like? So it's just a.
Speaker 2:It's nice in a work environment because it sets very clear expectations of what people want you to do. Like, most people want to do a good job and if and that means something different to everybody. So in a work environment, it's a very nice thing to do to set an expectation of how, like I want to do a good job. Tell me what that means to you so that I can hit those metrics. And then, on a personal level, I also want to be successful, so I do that with myself. It's hard, though, because you have to hold yourself accountable, or you can, like, hire someone like me to be your accountability coach, or you could have a podcast, record it and put it out there and use that to hold yourself.
Speaker 1:This is how I'm setting my goals yeah because I'm just going to record them so record them and that's great.
Speaker 2:Like every, you can do it in whatever format works for you. Um, I personally think that writing them down so when you write things down, you're seven times more likely to remember them, and I feel like it's also a nice reminder, which is why I have them on my dry erase board in my kitchen. It's a constant reminder of like, okay, what can I work on next, right, right, and so, anyways, that's the other thing Okay, so you want to talk about upcoming goals?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so I do have some for the coaching business and I do think that the goals master class is a good idea. I have a couple other master class type things I would like to do.
Speaker 1:Like that you would like to lead or partake in.
Speaker 2:Both. I mean, learning is always, so I would like to learn something new once a month. That could be taking a cooking class or doing a masterclass I'm going to have to retake. I have like a bunch of continuing ed I have to do in 2025. So some of that is for my insurance license and then I have to recertify for my nutrition license every two years. So I'll have to do that. But one of the things I did at the start of 2024 is I got two additional certifications for my nutrition coaching. That was like the. It was like behavior change and weight loss certifications that go like in addition to nutrition coaching. So I could probably add another certification on if I wanted to. But learn I want to learn something new, uh, like once a month, so I don't know exactly what that is wrinkle in your brain.
Speaker 2:So 12 wrinkles in your brain minimum yeah, I want I don't, so if you have ideas, I'm all for it. I just did justine's master class on like how men and women differ and when they are. I forget what it's actually called. Let me look this up, cause actually it was really good and we're going to post this on our Instagram. There was some really good insight in this. Give me one second. It is called how men and women handle stress differently. It was really good, so I went for a walk and listened to that. It was I don't know, it was probably about an hour long yeah, I've been wanting to take that I'm gonna go to her little wine thing too.
Speaker 2:No, that's oh yeah, that's good january 4th, 3rd 4th, something like that so I'm still in the brainstorming mode of my goals and I plan to formalize a lot of these when I'm on my trip and then when I get back. Like I said by, my goal is, I always just give myself kind of a break in the month of January and just use that as a time to reflect in and establish what my goals are for year. So um I so learning is a big theme on here. I also figured out that I don't love the like larger parties that I've thrown in the past Like we've done.
Speaker 2:Remember we did that cocktail class in like March of this year and it was super fun, but there were so many people that I don't get to talk to anybody. Or if I do talk to somebody, I talk to like three people and everybody else is like I feel like some people get upset, feeling like I haven't talked to them or something. So I'm going to limit it to 10 people max and I want to do it once a month and I might call it our little supper club and people can just sign up that's fun so that's one goal.
Speaker 2:And then I also want to do like a month, once a month, work from not at home for all and like just invite other people to come and join oh, that's a good one.
Speaker 1:Work from coffee shops more. Yeah, I'm going to work from a coffee shop tomorrow. Work.
Speaker 2:I can't do it tomorrow.
Speaker 1:I feel like Fridays are the best day for me because I don't have Well have a coffee shop meeting Work from coffee shops more.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so if you have ideas of places to go. But I feel like Fridays might be nice and work from a coffee shop, maybe in the afternoon or all day but it's a really good one, and then turn it into happy hour in the highlands.
Speaker 2:There's some good ones, yeah so I just feel like being able to post that, and if other people want to join and that would be nice, um, I'm definitely gonna. So I have to figure out a new like fitness routine. So I've hired a personal trainer, I'm back in orange theory and I'm trying another thing tbd. Um, that I'm hoping to throw into that mix and hopefully that will get me ready for golfing and all the other stuff in the summer so that I don't injure myself again.
Speaker 1:What about travel? Got any places you want to go? Oh my gosh.
Speaker 2:Well, I have a trip I'm starting the year with, and then I already have a trip to.
Speaker 1:Well then, you should put it on there, because that's an easy one to accomplish it is.
Speaker 2:Well, that is actually checking off one of my things this year, which was getting a new stamp in my passport book. Technically I did go to canada, that was new but I don't like to count that.
Speaker 1:Where'd you go in canada?
Speaker 2:I went to bamf they didn't stamp my passport. So when I was leaving canada I made the us border Patrol guys stamp my passport. He was like I can't stamp you in Canada like this, I'm not going to.
Speaker 1:Would you use a fucking coyote or something across the border? And I was like, well, what no?
Speaker 2:because they have like a fast lane, basically Like you go to like a kiosk and if you answer all the questions in a way that like doesn't flag you.
Speaker 1:They're just like she's American.
Speaker 2:Get them out of here way that, like, just like she's american, get them out of here. Yeah, they're like, just keep going. Um. So when I was re-entering, like getting back on the plane to come home, I was like, can you stamp my passport? And he's like, well, I like I'm an american, you know, is it border patrol or tsa, whatever it is? Um. And so he, I I asked, I was like, can you stamp it? And he did, but I felt like that wasn't legit.
Speaker 1:So I'm getting a new passport stamp.
Speaker 2:And I'm actually going to get another one in March. I'm going to Mexico, oh, for a weekend to visit some friends, and then I actually want to. I'm in the. I've been wanting to plan a wellness retreat for a while. It's been several years that I've been wanting to do it and I'm pretty I'm about 90% sure I'm going to plan it for next fall.
Speaker 1:That's fun. So yeah, I have a pretty extensive goal list. Like, the last couple of years have been a little bit tough. The capital markets have been shit. It loosened up here. The last sort of quarter, like this quarter, is going to be good, this like end of year, is going to be like a banner sort of end of year. But the last couple of years haven't been good, particularly relative to the first you, the years before that, and it sort of opened my eyes to this desire. I always thought I just wanted to be super small and just be with my partners and, like do small things. But what happened is we retracted way too much and now there's zero growth and it's unstimulating. So anyway, long story short, I'm I decided that I needed to light the fire back under my entrepreneurial ass and I'm launching another.
Speaker 1:I'm launching multiple things next year, but that have been the works. I'm launching drumroll sasqu.
Speaker 2:Nice.
Speaker 1:I'm almost done with the website. I've got a few potential deals going into the new year. I'm not going to lose my focus on Imperial by any means in what I'm doing there, but Sasquatch Capital gives me a pathway to grow my own sort of capital advisory company. It's going to be focused on capital advisory, primarily debt and capital placement into private debt credit vehicles. I'm in debt and then I'm going to launch a podcast called Cocktails in Capital Markets and I'm in search for a media partner to be part of Sasquatch Capital and I want to combine media with media in the podcast, with the advisory platform, and then grow. I want it to be plug and play for advisors. So I want to be. I want advisors to be able to come onto the platform if it makes sense and then it'll be like the. I'll like manage the platform and help them and then take a portion is how I envision it.
Speaker 2:I mean with as much as you. I know that you want to accomplish like next year. I mean, you're just rattling off a few of the things. I mean they're big goals. I do feel like I should write these down for you, can I do?
Speaker 1:that they're in my notebook.
Speaker 2:I know no, but I'm going to formalize these for you.
Speaker 1:You can? They're on this 2025 goals list on my phone.
Speaker 2:Okay cool, Can you send that to me?
Speaker 1:I'm going to hold you accountable.
Speaker 2:My other goal, which is sort of Because I feel like we should just go into once every like two months. We should do the check-in like I normally do with myself.
Speaker 1:And I can help hold you accountable and see where you're at. You can, but I move around. My add so bad, I move around so much I've never tracked goals.
Speaker 2:Um, it's fine. We can at least like celebrate the things that you've checked off if I'm making money, I'm succeeding and remind you of the ones that you have on the list, or maybe pivot yeah, I'll send it to you, I, and through that, I.
Speaker 1:My goal is so you've heard the sort of the like five income thing, right, like if you're generating income from five different sources, that's how you create wealth, real wealth. So my goal next year is to have have made money from three different income sources instead of just the one that I have now.
Speaker 2:So we need you to like, subscribe and share so that eventually we can make money on this podcast.
Speaker 1:Somebody send me a dollar yeah.
Speaker 2:People ask me all the time do you guys make money on it?
Speaker 1:I'm like no no, we don't, we have like yeah, we spend money.
Speaker 2:So I mean we love this, it's a great hobby and we love sharing all these things with you guys, but help us grow.
Speaker 1:Yeah, help us grow.
Speaker 2:So maybe we should set a goal for, like, the number of followers that we have, because I feel like that. I think we should set some podcast goals too, and I'm not trying to derail you. We can come back to that. Why don't you run through the rest of yours? I'll make a note here.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, I definitely. Well, I mean the cocktails and capital markets, one which I've written primarily. I've written the script and the business plan for that at this point because I was going to launch it with my partner, but I want to do it on my own, now that one needs to make money.
Speaker 2:Uh-huh. What else are you going to make money on?
Speaker 1:I have. So then I have, let's go to a more fun one. Well, I guess we'll go through the serious ones first. So I want to publish my book that I've been writing, which it's about my basically my personality and entrepreneurialism.
Speaker 2:Are you going to self-publish this?
Speaker 1:I don't know yet. I'm going to see how it turns out and go from there Probably yeah. I mean I don't know any publishers.
Speaker 2:Are you going to record an audio book?
Speaker 1:If it makes sense. If it's a terrible book, then I'm just going to throw it in the trash.
Speaker 2:How are you going to determine if it's good or bad?
Speaker 1:Well, people read it and if they say it's good, then we'll go somewhere with it. So we'll have people read it that aren't my friends, that can hurt my feelings, but or, hopefully, my friends can give me the honest truth before I make an ass of myself.
Speaker 1:I've read. I've read a few of the chapters thus far and I think they're actually good. But that's me, so I'm like the worst person to criticize my own writing. But so I think, in order to hit that goal, I have to be done with the writing part, the draft part, probably no later than June for sure, because I'm going to have have to like I was actually thinking March, april and then I'll spend April through June, july, doing my own editing time measurement for you to put on your goal list.
Speaker 2:Yeah, see I keep this stuff in my head it's a good note to put so that I can check in with you then.
Speaker 1:Yeah, uh, travel I. I've been wanting to go to Barcelona and Columbia for years now, so I need to go there. That needs to happen. Uh, I, you know I signed up for real estate school, so I'm going to.
Speaker 2:I don't.
Speaker 1:I have no plan for what I'm going to do with a real estate license, but I'm going to. I don't. I have no plan for what I'm going to do with a real estate license, but I'm going to get it. So I'm, you know, I this whole filling time thing, I, uh, I decided to I have a year with the program to finish the program and get my 168 hours which I'm rocking and roll, and I'm already through the first two. There's eight courses.
Speaker 1:It's very hard, it's going gonna be a hard test, uh, so I'm, I'm determined to like, basically make use of that investment and get my real estate license, even though I don't know I don't really have a plan for what to do with it yet but I think it's been valuable to learn more about real estate. Yeah, what else is on here? Oh, finally, finally, go to Casa Bonita's.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh, are you on the list?
Speaker 1:No, dude, I was on the list. I don't think you have to be on the list now.
Speaker 2:You don't. I was on the list, I got it and then I didn't even use the thing. I think I offered it up to you at one point. Whatever to go, but the timing was bad.
Speaker 1:I'll go with you.
Speaker 2:I'm going to add that to my list too. I want to go to Casabonita.
Speaker 1:Yeah, we need to go to Casabonita. I've never been there. Everybody's been there and I haven't been there. Yeah, I mean for goals, that's a lot, but I chip away at them. I created a task calendar, so this is the one way I've been organized. Is I finally after?
Speaker 2:years, create a task calendar. So now I have a task calendar.
Speaker 1:Tell me about this task calendar, so I have my calendar calendar. Right that my partners can see outlook or it's in outlook yeah, okay.
Speaker 1:And then I have a task calendar. It's different color, my partners don't see it, right, so it doesn't block out my time. So if a meeting pops up or something during a task, I can move. I just move the tasks around, like so, if I don't get to something on my task calendar today and then there's priorities, right, so like the, the book has the least priority everything's prioritized calendar in your in outlook are using yeah, they all over.
Speaker 1:All my calendars overlay. Yeah so my corporate calendar, my imperial ridge calendar, my partners can see so they can schedule me for stuff. It's not like we're around, we're running around. It's not like a corporation where we run around and schedule each other. We don't only have one meeting a week, which is awesome meetings by death, you know, like corporations have so many meetings.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so I have a lot of time and I'm not. I don't do a lot of meetings. I I've managed to like I've managed to get my clients pretty used to like calling me or emailing me and then a lot of my time spent like working through stuff at my own leisure. So Sasquatch capital takes second priority over anything Imperial. And then I'm sort of balancing the rest of my time with the book and the real estate license. But that's where my ADD starts to come in, because I'm like what really is the priority? So then I just start like I feel like doing this right now, I feel like doing that, but I'm doing them right and that's how I operate. I'm like, you know, I don't feel like doing something, then I'll move it, but I'm trying to be held accountable.
Speaker 1:I haven't done anything in the book in like a week. So I need to get back to that and the podcast is the podcast I need to figure out. But I wanted to launch Sasquatch before I went and tried to find a media partner and I'm on the fence of whether I want to launch the podcast without the media partner. I really want to find a business partner which is hard to do that is media-oriented, that wants to get into real estate, because there's a lot of money to be had in real estate and I think if they're really good at what they do, I'm very good at what I do. I don't want to grow into a massive like fucking corporation, but I would like to create some real wealth and take the opportunity before ai takes over and I think there's a little bit of a five to ten year renaissance period here, particularly for people our age to like make some create some real wealth before, inevitably, the economy goes to shit because of ai yeah and other things.
Speaker 1:But like I do really think there's going to be some real I'm going on a rabbit hole now some real issues with the economy, as ai starts to just replace a lot of things, particularly I mean underwriting. So like I think AI is going to start underwriting most loans and then it's going to be about relationships. So I think we're done.
Speaker 2:All right. So before we end though, all right, so we've kind of vocalized some of the goals I still have to. Are you done? Done with your goals? Do you feel like that's all of your goals for next year?
Speaker 1:oh, I want to fall in love and make a million dollars oh yeah yeah, okay. No, I want to enjoy my new vasectomy yeah, well, there you go. Oh my gosh, you're such I couldn't go through an episode without cockbugging myself such a dork. I couldn't go through an episode without cock-bogging myself.
Speaker 2:You're such a dork. I think that what we should do is, once every couple months, we'll have a little check-in on progress, and if you don't want to share, you don't have to, but I would like to, and well, we should probably get a quote of Casper Nita's, so we have something to share then. Okay.
Speaker 1:Well, why don't you? This podcast is sponsored by Sasquatch Capital.
Speaker 2:There you go, sasquatchcapcom. Wait, how much are you paying us Huh?
Speaker 1:Technically it is. I'm paying for Descript. I'm writing off $100 a month in editing. There you go. Okay, I I should do that. It's a non-profit. We should fuck all this business shit. We should start a church a church. Shut the front door yeah, churches are such tax havens or tax shelters you are like blowing my. You are blowing my mind.
Speaker 2:You are blowing my mind. I don't even know what to say. I'm speechless, and we're going to have to look into this some more. So, happy Clearly.
Speaker 1:I don't know what I'm saying right now.
Speaker 2:Okay, the Church of Papi. I'd make a good preacher. I mean, people will follow me now. Okay, the church of poppy, we should. I'd make a good preacher.
Speaker 1:I mean people will follow me into the desert for four years.
Speaker 2:It's 40 days oh my god, oh wow, we're really.
Speaker 1:I don't know if there's enough room for me in here with how big your head is getting. I'm going to go to a towel and part the plat.
Speaker 2:Shut Okay. We need to end while you're still ahead. Why do you keep cock blocking yourself?
Speaker 1:No, I'm kidding, I'm not cock blocking myself, it's funny. Oh, maybe I just finished watching the series Messiah, which is actually really good Okay. Yeah.
Speaker 2:What's that about?
Speaker 1:it's about? It's a netflix series about a guy who may or may not be the messiah okay in modern age oh cool yeah all right.
Speaker 2:Well, should we end this and go on to uh sureugh Lounge.
Speaker 1:All right, let's sign up for Casaminitas.
Speaker 2:Oh my gosh that was great. I'm trying to. Yeah, I think that's good Mic drop.
