Born and raised in rural eastern Colorado, Mike is as close as it gets to a modern-day renaissance man. He is a father, grandfather, farmer, climate change and agricultural hemp lobbyist, movie producer, distillery owner, marijuana drink owner, involved in M&A and Co-Founding a new moderate political platform with George Nolfi call Civil. In this interview, he shares stories of developing a life-long friendship with Annie and Willie Nelson and their family, working with them and Woody Harrelson on biofuel and ag hemp policy, secretly getting a hemp flag flown at the nationals capital on the 4th of July and producing Elevation a movie directed by George Nolfi with actor Anthony Mackie. We get into how important it is to say “yes” and talk to strangers. It’s an incredible story, told by an incredible man that won’t leave you disappointed and maybe even gain some wisdom.
